Gordon Fredric Innes, 68, died Tuesday morning, August 8, 2017 in Indianapolis, IN at Community Heart and Vascular following an extended illness.

He was born, July 26, 1949, in Omaha, NE to Donald Pierce Innes and Verna Bernice Innes. He attended Benson High School and graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology. He worked as a Medical Laboratory Scientist until his illness forced him to retire.

Surviving are his son, Jonathan Pierce Innes, of Indianapolis, IN; daughter, Jennifer Gayle Innes, of Indianapolis, IN; his only granddaughter, Niya Gayle Innes, of Indianapolis, IN; sister, Constance Innes Fillmore, of Virginia; and, his nephew, Christopher Fillmore, (Wife-Katie), of Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family may visit at Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, then friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 with services to follow at 1:00 PM.
